PMIâ
Certification Program Notice
To: PMPs,
PMP candidates, PMI members, PMI Component Leaders, and PMI Education
Providers
From: Paul Grace
Subject: PMPâ
Certification Examination Nondisclosure Issues/Notice Concerning The
Preparation of Sample Examination Practice Questions.
It has come to our attention that certain PMI
Registered Education Providers (R.E.P.s) and other vendors that provide PMP test
preparation and training courses may be soliciting recently certified PMPs to
participate in the development of sample PMP Examination questions for
preparation purposes. Further, I have become aware that some of these
solicitations have offered Professional Development Unit (PDU) credits towards
PMP renewal requirements upon completion of such activities.
Please be advised that the PMI Certification
Program prohibits PMPs, candidates, R.E.P.s, and others from soliciting, or
participating in, the discussion, debriefing or disclosure of the specific
content of the PMP Certification Examination, including test questions and
answers. Additionally, such activities may constitute a violation of PMI
corporate policies and agreement requirements, including the PMI Test Security
and Confidentiality Policy. Moreover and the PMP Code of Professional Conduct,
such activities may violate PMI’s legal rights, including intellectual
property law. Accordingly, all PMPs, PMI members, R.E.P.s, and other persons are
advised not to offer, or otherwise participate in, such activities.
Please note that the PMI Certification Program
will not honor or provide PDU credit earned by PMPs engaging in such activities.
Appropriate action may be taken against any PMP, candidate, PMI member, R.E.P.,
or other persons who violate PMI policies related to this matter.
Thank you for consideration of this information.
